If you're hearing this message, I am probably not here. Or I am furiously pressing every button I can because I forgot how this thing works. One of the two! Either way, I will get back to you...eventually.

Action;
And then slowly the rest of his body starts to move along with his hips, arms slowly unfolding, feet rocking on his heels. He didn't really have a specific KIND of dancing--more just going with what the music told him.
But man was he enjoying this.]
Action;
Jaime had once said there probably wasn't much of an audience for his type of music, and maybe that was true -- but just seeing one person dance like that to his heart's song makes Manolo's entire day. He couldn't have asked for a better audience!]
Action;
For a moment in this place, the weight looks lifted off his shoulders, and with Manolo's voice having a light healing effect in both body and spirit, it's hard NOT to want to move to it.
It isn't until he bumps into the bed, his legs coming to a stop before his upper body can follow that he turns to face Manolo, balancing himself back so he doesn't fall.]
Do you record or something?
Action;
Record? You mean like...so people who are far away can listen too? [So no, basically.] Someone told me I should think about it, but...I don't know. My style is probably really old-sounding, you know? Besides...[Manolo gives a self-depreciating chuckle.] I wouldn't even know where to start. People don't really make recordings where I'm from.
1/2 Action;
2/2 Action;
[His eyes practically light up at it, putting his hands on Manolo's shoulders.]
I've got a jukebox at the house, and I thiiiink it could use a little bit of your style!
[It's sort of empty, so...it's not like Manolo has any competition, but that's something he won't exactly say out loud.]

[Not surprising. They were rare in Kaneda's time too.]
Yeah, you just gotta put it on a CD, you know? I put the CD in, and--[His hands splay out, like an explosion]--music happens!

Anytime you're in Nonah, stop on by.
It doesn't have anything in it just yet, but hey, maybe your CD'll be the first.
[Yes, you're already making one in his eyes.]

Well how hard could it be, right? There's millions of CDs in the world.

[He's heard that name before...Ken's mentioned him a few times. But it's weird--he's like some elusive person he keeps seeming to miss in this strange world...]
Sounds like he's our ticket to getting you on the map then, huh?

You mean we'd make CDs for other people too?

Look, it's like a reputation on the street, alright? You gotta let people know who you are, and word spreads like a fire.

[Back home, the Rodriguez brothers sure made a name for themselves -- but not a particularly good one, despite being excellent musicians. The laughing stock of the town, his father had once called them, and he'd been quick to equate that with Manolo's own desire to be a guitarrista.
But here? People like Kaneda were supportive of him from the very start, as if they truly believed Manolo had a gift that ought to be shared.
Manolo squared his shoulders with confidence. If other people could believe in him so fully, then the least he could do was believe in himself too.]
It's always been my dream to become a full-time musician. If that'll help me achieve my goal, then...I'll do whatever it takes.
